Erin Fitzgerald Ebert

Founder & Director

Erin Fitzgerald Ebert brings a rare combination of elite playing experience, proven coaching success, and a deep passion for player development to CAT-7 Lacrosse. A 2x All-American and 2x National Champion at Northwestern University, Erin was also a Tewaaraton Award nominee and graduated ranked 8th all-time in goals (190) and 10th in points (216) for the Wildcats — one of the most decorated programs in NCAA history.

Her coaching career spans over 15 years, with roles at the collegiate level including Furman University and Coastal Carolina University, where she served as Associate Head Coach. She currently coaches at Newsome High School and leads the girls’ program for Coyotes Youth Lacrosse in Fishhawk, FL. Erin has also trained some of the top names in the game — including Jamie Ortega (UNC), Kelsey Huff (USC), Kayla Downey (VT), and Sarah Reznick (UF).

Raised on Long Island, one of the sport’s most competitive hotbeds, Erin comes from a powerhouse family of Division I athletes. Her coaching style reflects her roots: intense, competitive, and driven, yet deeply focused on culture, connection, and confidence-building. She believes athletes thrive when they’re part of something bigger — a team they trust, a coach who believes in them, and a program built with purpose.

Now a proud mother of two boys, Erin leads CAT-7 with a mission to give back to the game that shaped her, and to create opportunities and positive experiences for the next generation of fierce, confident female athletes.

Marissa Munson

club coach & Early Development

A Maryland native now living in Tampa, Marissa brings a competitive edge and team-first attitude to CAT-7 Lacrosse. She was a starting defender at Coastal Carolina University, where she played under Coach Erin. Known for her relentless hustle, Marissa was an incredible teammate who made a major impact on the defensive end—racking up ground balls, causing turnovers, and setting the tone with her energy and effort. Before college, she played both midfield and defense in high school, giving her a strong all-around lacrosse IQ.
